Winter Portrait Session with Sarah
Sarah and I first met at a photo 'shoot out' with a few other models and members of Professional Photographers of Canada here in Prince George. Back then, she was in a steampunk outfit and we had so much fun that day. A canvas of her still hangs in my studio to this day.
When she contacted me for a headshot session outdoors, I was super excited to do this with her. Having photographed her a few times, when she was pregnant with her first child, and her newborn session, I knew she'd be energetic and willing to try anything. With a Game of Thrones themed robe, in the snow, we played for half an hour. (I call it play, because when we have this much fun, how can it be work?)
Sarah had not had a haircut since she had her first child almost eight years ago and it was time to chop it off. And she had a milestone birthday coming up too. That sparked the idea of a session outdoors with flowing curly hair (so gorgeous!) and the raspberry red of the robe set on a snowy backdrop was perfect. And the weather cooperated for us too!
Jewel tones work so well with most skin types, but I especially love it with blue-eyed blondes. Sarah rocked her session, didn't she?
So, who's up for an outdoor shoot while the weather is still great? I know I am! Get in touch through the link below and we'll talk.
