Mini Session with Caydance in the Lupines
There is a narrow window in the early summer around Prince George when the fields are blooming with vivid purple and a few creamy white wild lupines. Perfect timing for a mini-session with my granddaughter, Caydance, between the afternoon rain showers we have been having all week.
Because of COVID-19, sessions were pretty much shut down since the middle of March, and I was feeling kind of rusty as a family photographer. And that's not good! So when my beautiful daughter-in-law agreed to bring Caydance to the field at 7PM to catch some nice light, I was thrilled.
What a sweetheart! Being only four years old, Caydance wanted to have the session done her way by playing Hide and Seek in the flowers that were almost as tall as she was. What a great idea! "Count to 45, Gramma!" was the rule before I could lift my camera. If she heard a click, I heard about it and had to start counting again!
These moments won't last forever but these images make time stand still. When I look back on my own family albums that my mother so lovingly put together for me, I can't help but notice the family resemblance in some of the nuances captured here.
With a little time left before the rain came, I captured a family photo of Mike (my son), Neena (my daughter-in-law) and Caydance. And there's soon to be one more little one!
Would you like some beautiful images captured in the lupines? Let me know and we will work to make it happen.
